A variation of the Balanced belt, the Double Balanced construction consist of pairs of inter-laced right and left hand wound spirals. The connector is crimped on the more open meshes, and straight on the closed meshes.
This construction provides greater strength and larger clear openings than the comparable Balanced specification, and can be selected for ambient, medium, or high temperature applications where these cha-racteristics are desired. Due to its higher cost, however, the Double Balanced belt is primarily considered for high temperature service.
DOUBLE BALANCED belting is designated by numerals in the same manner as Balanced belting, except with the prefix "DB."
