Compound Balanced is a smooth, dense weave, formed of right and left hand wound spirals fitted tightly together and connected by three or more straight rods. In some specifications, the rods are crimped and are desi-gnared by (C) in the mesh count. The number designation of the rod seri-es indicates the numberof rods necessary to connect or disconnect the belt.
The Compound Balanced belt is ideal for conveying very fine or small pr-oducts, as well as unstable or top-heavy items. Compound Balanced is frequently selected as a baking band belt due to its tightly woven mesh, w hich provides adequate support for proper bottom bake.
An even smoother, more table-like surface, for certain applications, such as handling deep drawn two-piece cans, can be obtained by using flatte-ned wire.
